New Jersey Books buys back books all year 'round! Our prices are based primarily on supply and demand. If we have a book order for a particular book, and we need more copies, you may be offered as much as 50% of the new book price (67% of the used price). It doesn't matter if your book was originally purchased new or used, or which store or school it was purchased from. What does matter is whether we need the book. If we do not have a book order, and there is no in store demand, the buyback price will be based on a national demand, which can be significantly less. Generally, the best time to sell your books is during the week of final exams.

     We require a valid Rutgers ID to buy books. Books can be worth a lot of cash, so protect yourself by discreetly marking your books on a random page number that only you know. This will help us identify your book if someone other than its rightful owner attempts to sell it to us.
